3 Years of Hannah Everly

(this post was written yesterday)

Three years ago today I made the spontaneous decision to open my etsy shop, and that decision honestly changed my life.

Here are some photos my friends posted on Instagram throughout the day! Don't I have an amazing squad?!?! ;)

It makes me feel so happy and blessed to read through all of those and see all the photos. :') It feels like it's my birthday and these are the best gifts I could ever ask for!!!

So... today felt like a big giant hug. Thanks so much for all the amazing comments, emails, messages, and texts. I can't tell you how much it all means to me. Last night I was stressed and overwhelmed and ready to throw in the towel, but all your encouragement today made a world of difference. Sure I've had people say hurtful things, but you know what? The positive outweighs the negative x 1,000. You guys keep me going and I wouldn't have made it 3 years without you. So here's to the future... Can't wait to see what happens, and can't wait to experience it all with you!! #3yearsofhannaheverly

Hannah Everly Spring 2015

Good morning guys! So this week I *finally* launched my spring line! ("This week" as in last night) Monday night we basically photographed 9 skirts in 30 minutes, all while having to do outfit changes (in parking lots because ain't nobody got time to run all the way to a bathroom) and running in 4" wedges when some of us had never worn wedges before. (Shout out to Jordan for risking her ankles) It was quite the event and the girls had to keep coming up to me to remind me to breathe. ;) But we beat the setting sun and rocked those skirts, if I do say so myself. As soon as it was over I realized I totally should have vloged behind the scenes stuff, but oh well. Next time!!!
Anyway here are some of my favorite shots (there's alot of them). Hope you enjoy!

On the Scene With Han Eves

Good afternoon guys! Sorry this post is so late, but these photos are literally from this morning. I woke up supes early to photograph my spring line's bow ties (Han Eves: model (ha. not.), skirt maker, bow tie tie-er, photographer, and terrible hair tosser) with my friend Skyler.

(all about that windblown hair)

This one goes out to all the haters that say you can't wear a pattern with a pattern... I just did.

This skirt was the first skirt I ever made and sold for the shop and it still may be my fave. :')

Skirt: Hannah Everly (old); Shirt: J.Crew; Shoes: Consignment

Here I am shooting Sky. Well... you know what I mean. ;)

Skyler: "Is this what it feels like to have long hair flowing in the wind?"

Circus

When your best friends call you and say they have extra tickets for the circus... do not hesitate. Go and wear a skirt that looks like a circus tent and eat lots of popcorn and discuss how you could turn their farm into a circus. (I'd be the lion tamer, but I'd use smaller house cats)

So despite the fact that, yes, the rest of the hundreds of people were wearing hoodies and jeans... I don't think that should ever stop you from wearing what you want. Rock that skirt and wedges and sparkly necklace to the circus. You won't regret it in 60 years, and if you keep it up you'll be "that cool old lady" that wears 4" wedges. Nevermind maybe that's not safe.
(although I did change into boots at the last minute because I realized it was only 50-something degrees)
I'm rambling now, so I'll stop. Deepest apologies for not posting last week. I've been super busy and my sister's (photographer) boyfriend is in town, so we haven't done any actual shoots yet. At least you got to see more of the studio! Hahahaha! I promise it will be better next week.

Popcorn is a must at any event or even at 2 am when you just need something salty for that sad chick flick you're watching. Anyway...

Definitely almost got smacked in the face with that thing a few times, but she's so cute it's worth it. Plus she kept telling me she liked my outfit.

I did NOT have a chocolate chip cookie stuffed soft pretzel for lunch! Ok, fine... but can you blame me? Wednesday Rach and her boyfriend Tim decided we all needed to watch the Batman trilogy because we (Rach and I) hadn't seen it yet. We sat in front of the tv for almost 9 hours only taking breaks to go to the library and make these. (Well they made them... I just ate them) They are seriously the perfect blend of salty and sweet and I'm obsessed. Here's the recipe so you can make your own!

It even looks like a pretzel :')

Oh and those movies are amazing and Heath Ledger's acting is out of this world and I screamed and cried and I highly recommend.

Spring In the Studio

Hey guys! Sorry that I went all M.I.A. last week!!! I've been gearing up for my "Hannah Everly Spring 2015"launch, which means 1. Making lists, 2. Not ordering enough fabric, 3. Lining up models, 4. Matching up skirts with everyone's hair colors, 4. Getting super busy.
But no worries... I have no intention to stop blogging. (aka it will be unintentional when I don't post for a few days).
Also I think spring is by far my favorite season to dress for, which means planning my spring line photo shoot is making me feel like a kid in a candy store. Goodness I can't wait to show you it!!!

Here are some skirts from my past two spring lines!!! It's distracting to get work done in there with so many cute skirts staring at me ;). (Well you know... if they had eyes)

I can't remember if I introduced "Imogen" to you... but she's a real life saver. As an extrovert I get lonely spending all day in the studio, but she keeps me company these days. Here she is modeling a dress I made this weekend for my bestest friend Caitie!

Are you in love with the back? (Cause I'm in love with the back)

I call this my $1 outfit because my mom got me this genuine leather metallic trench for $1, and I got this black pencil with the sweet trim for $1. Consignment stores are my heaven on earth.
