Galentine's Day

So the girls and I started this tradition last year of celebrating GALentine's Day the weekend before Valentine's Day. (Get it? It's Valentine's Day but with your gal friends. Genius.) Basically we color coordinate our outfits and take some pics (shoutout to Caleb for getting up just to take these) and then go and eat ourselves sick from pancakes (shoutout to cracker barrel) and do some shopping (shoutout to good will). 

Sounds like the perfect day to me. 

This may be weird but this sequin peplum top is one of my most worn shirts. No shame waltzing into Walmart in this. Bring on the stares. (The stares were actually probably from me walking through the door and my shirt flying up. And to think I thought they were just staring at my fabulousness...)  

And cheetah flats because I tell you all the time that cheetah is a neutral.

Substitute Mom

So... Mom and Rachel left for Chicago today which means a few things.

1. I'm basically off work for a week! (Mom happens to be my accountant/shipper/packager and Rachel is my photographer.)

2. Mom tried to go over a "meal plan" with me, but we both know we're having mac and cheese and cookies for every meal.

3. I let Ruth watch "Fresh Prince of Bel Air" while she was doing school this morning, so I'd say we're already off to a productive start! 

Luckily Dad works from home, so I'll have him to keep my on track. 

Funny story: This pretty shed is actually down a back alley and while we were taking these pics we had an audience of two mildly sketch guys watching from the dumpster. Maybe they were aspiring fashion designers/photographers and wanted a few tips? We'll never know because we didn't stick around to find out.

So I decided this is probably what I would wear if I actually had a date for Valentine's Day... which I don't... for the up-teenth year.  

But hey who needs a date anyway when you can spin around in your pink dress all by yourself!?!? Not this girl. 

So there. That's what you get to learn about my love life. Nothing because it's non existent. Phew wasn't that exiting? Took a lot of guts. Glad we had that talk.

Spring Feeling

I was apparently feeling springy again and also nautical. (Breaking news: I usually feel springy and nautical) 

I feel like this would be a great outfit to wear if you were going out to Valentine's day lunch with a girlfriend. Except now that its on the blog I have to come up with a new outfit, ya know? Can't pull a Lizzie McGuire. (But then you're an outfit remember!!!)

At Last

In case you didn't catch my subtle hint... after 2 years of waiting I finally got my license. I'm too emotional to even write a bunch of words so I'm going to let the photos speak for themselves.

Growing Up

You probably thought this was going to be some great "coming of age" sort of blog post, but it's not. I just wanted to inform everyone that after 17 years of avoiding it... I finally got a phone. The people in the Apple Store thought it was the funniest thing ever and had a field day.

Now I know what you're thinking... "Wow those are the cutest 4 inch open toe suede and leather wedges ever." and maybe also "I'm sorry but she has officially lost her mind. It's February." I just want to say that it was *almost* 60 degrees yesterday which made me open all the windows and yes, wear these shoes. The lady in Kate Spade had the same wedges on and we gave each other a nod of approval (empathy?).

Oh Snap

So funny story... Right after I saved these photos onto my computer I stepped on my memory card and snapped it. I assure you had a cute outfit for this week on there, you'll just never see it now. RIP to that blog post. Don't be surprised if the blog is dead for a few days... there's just no reason to get out of bed in the morning anymore. What's the point?
