So I wore this outfit to church a few weeks back and several ladies (and a few guys) stopped me to say that I looked "like a girl from the 1940's going to a school dance!" We're just gonna take that as a compliment because that's the only way to take it when someone says you look retro. It's always a good thing. (unless they say you look like you're from the 80's. That's almost never a good thing...)
Sorry I only have four photos today. It was as cold as Elsa's frozen heart from the beginning to middle of the movie. Very cold, guys. Very cold.
Ohh this is so cute. I love retro styles.
ReplyDeletethanks girl! Me too. :)
DeleteLove your dress! I have to agree with you that it is never a good thing if you're dressed from the 80s... At my school we had a retro day for our spirit week so I dressed up like a 50s girl with a poodle skirt and everything and one guy asked me why I was dressed like I was from the 1800s and I was just like ".....you are a dumb uninformed person who doesn't know anything..." And then he was like "well you're wearing a collar and a long skirt" and I was just like "...."
ReplyDeleteYou have my full support to flip your hair and walk away from that guy and never talk to him again.
DeleteI totally did! And then I took a picture with some friends and posed it on Instagram and then he went and LIKED it (and he rarely ever likes my pictures) and I was just like "noooo I am not taking this as an apology"
DeleteLove the tied sweater. Did you make that dress from the McCalls pattern M6745 that you sent me a picture of? Absolute cuteness! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I created the pattern from various other patterns combined.
DeleteGood for you! That's something I'm still a beginner at. You've got talent, girl! :)
