Hannah Everly Spring 2015

Good morning guys! So this week I *finally* launched my spring line! ("This week" as in last night) Monday night we basically photographed 9 skirts in 30 minutes, all while having to do outfit changes (in parking lots because ain't nobody got time to run all the way to a bathroom) and running in 4" wedges when some of us had never worn wedges before. (Shout out to Jordan for risking her ankles) It was quite the event and the girls had to keep coming up to me to remind me to breathe. ;) But we beat the setting sun and rocked those skirts, if I do say so myself. As soon as it was over I realized I totally should have vloged behind the scenes stuff, but oh well. Next time!!!
Anyway here are some of my favorite shots (there's alot of them). Hope you enjoy!

Girls Day in the City

So Saturday Rachel, Lydia, Amaris and I were supposed to drive to D.C. to see the cherry blossoms.... buuuuut I had to go to a last minute meeting and we were afraid the traffic was going to be ridiculous because of the holiday rush. We decided to go to good ole' Richmond which never fails us, then Amaris and I hung out in good ole' Williamsburg for a few more hours before driving home. Good times with some of my favorite people.

The day started out with Chickflia breakfast sandwiches as any day should.

Headed into our fav store "quirk"

Some people just don't understand the struggle.

We call this "willy wonka chic". Don't worry we didn't buy them.

Bang bang

It's a need, (jk I know it's a want)

Record + vintage shopping

Ok so this was the BEST vintage store I've ever been in. I just can't get over it.

Also can't get over this dress. Wouldn't it be perfect for a bohemian wedding?

It's casual.

Found the most beautiful flowers outside of Lydia's dorm

Tried to take selfies. Failed.

Stranger took pity on us.

Amaris took me into "her store" Ulta for my first time ever and I bought some eye shadow! (what I wore on Easter)

"It's a lifestyle"

Maybe my favorite part of the day was driving home as the sun set and blasting Coldplay and Florence and the Machine.

Hope you enjoyed coming along with me!!!

Easter Sunday

Good afternoon guys! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend/Easter, ate a lot of candy, and took time to reflect on the glory of our Savior. I spent Easter weekend with one of my best friends Amaris! (you may recognize her from here) We hung out at the house Friday and then Saturday we shopped till we dropped in Richmond and around town. Sunday morning we got ready for Easter together before she went home to celebrate with her fam. Good times, good times. I'll do a post tomorrow about our adventures from the weekend, but today I wanted to share some Easter morning photos!

#squad

So this is the dress that I wore to Easter and I obviously made it and it obviously has a bow on the back. Would I even be Hannah Everly without those two things?!?! Well yes. But not a very good one.

My shoes are from goodwill and my earrings I got fro Easter! ( I think my mom got them at New York & Co)

Peace and luv to you all. Talk tomorrow? Great.

P.S. I'M SHOOTING THE SPRING LINE TONIGHT SO PRAY FOR ME BECAUSE I HAVEN'T GOTTEN MUCH SLEEP OVER THE LAST FEW DAYS BECAUSE I'VE BEEN WORKING SO HARD ON IT. But I'm SO excited!

Ask Han: How Do You Balance Work, School, and a Social Life?

Good morning guys! So I finally got around to answering the question of "how do you balance school, work, and a social life?". I hope this helps you, sorry if it's confusing at all! Feel free to ask more questions on this topic or any other topic!!
Have a great weekend! (I shatter my phone in chickfila last night so mine is off to a GREAT start!)

No Makeup Week + Crazy Cat Lady Part 2

So guess who's birthday was yesterday?!?!?! (and it wasn't mine) I always thought it was cool her birthday was on april fool's day... but that also came with a lot of frustration. Why the heck wouldn't the kids in sunday school believe me that it was my cat's birthday? Who the heck would make up a lame joke like that? Not this girl. Luckily we've moved on to bigger and better jokes as we've all grown up and everyone has stopped being suspicious of her birthday. But life in 3rd grade was a real struggle. A real struggle.

So this week I decided to do a no makeup cleanse. (lipstick doesn't count because it makes everyone happy and keeps your lips from being chapped)
On the one hand I felt like my skin needed some time to breathe, but on the other hand... I felt like I was becoming too dependent on it. In a world that categorizes nice eyebrows and perfectly winged liner as "goals"... I wanted to focus on inward goals.
I felt like my self confidence was becoming more and more dependent on how on point my eyeliner was or how blended my eyeshadow was. I started to think of my real face less and less as my makeupless face, and more and more as my made up face.
Saturday my best friend Caitie texted me out of the blue and said that she was feeling the same way and doing the same thing, without me even telling her that I was! We've supported each other this week every time we (I) wanted to cave. :)
So basically while I still love makeup and think it's fun, I never want to get to the point where my self confidence hinges on it. My dad always told me "never get to the point where you can't go to the grocery store without makeup on". And I never want to be *that* person that reapplys makeup in the middle of a workout class. (I've seen it before)

I totally encourage all of you to do it for at least a week!!!!

On the Scene With Han Eves

Good afternoon guys! Sorry this post is so late, but these photos are literally from this morning. I woke up supes early to photograph my spring line's bow ties (Han Eves: model (ha. not.), skirt maker, bow tie tie-er, photographer, and terrible hair tosser) with my friend Skyler.

(all about that windblown hair)

This one goes out to all the haters that say you can't wear a pattern with a pattern... I just did.

This skirt was the first skirt I ever made and sold for the shop and it still may be my fave. :')

Skirt: Hannah Everly (old); Shirt: J.Crew; Shoes: Consignment

Here I am shooting Sky. Well... you know what I mean. ;)

Skyler: "Is this what it feels like to have long hair flowing in the wind?"
